Second step - measure the actual circumference of your horses nose

When fitted there must be 2-3 fingers space in between the grazing muzzle and the horses face

FOR EXAMPLE

If you have measured 8" up and the circumferance is 26" your horse would be a Large Horse size [28"].

If you measured 7.5" up and the circumferance is 24" your horse would be a Horse size [26"]

If you measured 7" up and the circumferance is 21" your horse would be a Cob size [23"]

If you measured 5 3/4" up and the circumferance is 20" your horse would be a Pony size [22"]

If you measured 5.5" up and the circumferance is 18" your horse would be a Mini size [20"]

To use:

Adjust The Best Friend™ Deluxe Grazing Muzzle to the horse using the same principles as the fit of a comfortable halter. Leave approximately one inch between the horse's mouth and the inside of the base of the muzzle. The Deluxe muzzle has a roomy fit to allow for chewing. You should be able to fit two to three fingers sideways between your horse's face and the muzzle. This is our most popular design because it is so easy to use and costs less than purchasing a separate breakaway halter.

Please be aware that you need to spend a few days - or even weeks in some cases - training your horse to become accustomed to wearing the muzzle. Full details come with each muzzle for correct training. Horses very quickly adapt, once they realise that they can still eat!

Do not attempt to leave the muzzle on the horse without training him
